Understanding the Reality of School Shootings

School shootings have become a terrifying reality in the United States.

According to a 2014 report by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), from 2000 to 2022, there were 328 casualties in active shooter incidents at elementary and secondary schools and 157 casualties in active shooter incidents at postsecondary institutions.

These numbers are alarming, but they highlight the importance of being prepared.
