Mad Arts’ Museum Expansion: Unveils a Dazzling Fusion of Art and Tech
In the heart of South Florida, a groundbreaking fusion of art and technology is set to captivate the community as Mad Arts, an incubator for cutting-edge projects, expands its experiential hub and gallery space.
The doors of Mad Arts will be open to the public onJanuary 24, 2024 and the South Florida community will get entry to IGNITE Broward, a mesmerizing art and light festival in collaboration with the Broward County Cultural Division, from January 24–28, 2024.
A Visionary Space Takes Shape
Mad Arts, under the visionary leadership of Executive Director Marc Aptakin, is pushing the boundaries at the intersection of art and technology. The upcoming expansion marks a formal acknowledgment of their pioneering work over the years.
The Mad Arts lobby, a creation by the innovative MadLabs team, sets the stage for what’s to come. This bold, site-specific design reflects the tech-driven innovations that will unfold within the gallery spaces, promising an immersive experience for all who step through the doors.
A Futuristic Encounter Awaits
Mad Arts beckons visitors into a realm where art and technology converge. Upon formal opening, Mad Arts will operate six days a week, offering ticketed entrance to explore its 50,000-square-foot space. Guests can enhance their visit with a unique wristband providing information about the artworks on display, creating a personalized and engaging journey through Mad Arts.
Programming Beyond Boundaries
In addition to its permanent collection, Mad Arts plans a dynamic year-round programming lineup, encompassing music, lectures, and educational programs. The MadLabs Academy, a fusion of art, technology, and accessible innovation, will further amplify the organization’s commitment to pushing creative boundaries.
Unveiling the Galleries
Mad Arts’ expansive building will host 20 exhibitions, showcasing local and global artists in a diverse range of art, light-based, and tech-infused projects. From the first-floor galleries featuring RÉSONANCES by Canadian artist LP Rondeau and Core (2020) by Adrien M & Claire B, to the second floor’s existence by Japanese artist Makoto Tojiki and LASER LIKE WATER by JS Baillat, Ottomata, and Diagraf, Mad Arts promises an unforgettable journey through the fusion of art and technology.
