Young Shares Why Colostrum Supplements Are Gaining Momentum in the Wellness Market
Growing up in a single-family household on government assistance and welfare, Heather Young, Co-Founder of Fasted Athlete faced challenges few could imagine. “My mother battled schizophrenia, and my father was incarcerated for most of my life,” she recalls.
At just 17, poor choices led to a two-year incarceration. But that chapter became a turning point for her. Instead of succumbing to adversity, these early hardships became the foundation of a remarkable entrepreneurial journey. “During that time, I committed to turning my life around,” Young shares.
Upon release, she worked tirelessly at two jobs, eventually saving enough to launch a small Airbnb business, taking the first step toward financial independence. This venture paved the way for success in real estate, including a thriving land-investing company.
Building on her momentum, she became a business investor in Fasted Athlete, a health & wellness brand started by her husband and Co-Founder, Kevin Young. In 2024, she took majority ownership of the company and rebranded its flagship product to PureGold Colostrum.
